Angel Hotel – is the major hotel in Abergavenny.
It is privately owned and has been refurbished to a high
and attractive standard. Both the restaurant and the bar
offer delicious food in different settings to suit a variety

The Bell Inn at Skenfrith – a
privately owned former Coaching Inn with flagstone floors,
oak beams, antique furniture and big comfy sofas. It has
been named Michelin Pub of the Year 2007. Sixteen miles from
Llanover.
Gliffaes Country
House Hotel – a comfortable family owned and
run hotel set in its own notable garden, with fabulous
views of the River Usk or towards the Brecon Beacons National
Park. Thirteen miles from Llanover, near Crickhowell.

Penpergwm Lodge – On
the edge of the Brecon Beacons, a large and lovely Edwardian
house. Breakfast round the mahogany
table, relax in the warmly
inviting sitting room with piano and real fire. The Boyles
have been here for years and pour much of their energy into

Castle
Acre, Grosmont - Castle Acre is a most attractive house
of great charm, originally a coach house and stables, which
was imaginatively and sympathetically converted in the 1970s
using original period materials.The house has been extended
recently in the same vein to give a larger kitchen and an additional
bedroom.
